haha ara they dont have natty light up there? its legendary around here. in my few years on this planet ive probably consumed swimming pools full of the stuff. its dirt cheap and college kids around here thrive on it. hell i actually dont even mind drinking it now, it doesnt taste bad, its just alcohol in water. its like drinking coors light but paying less. but honest to god for the money Beast Light is the best u can get for the least you'd pay imho

That and im almost certain that they dont sell it up here, by the sounds of it, it could put Laker out of business.....then again Lake Ontario water could put Laker out of business....wait a minute .....Laker.....Lake Ontario.....I think i just discovered their brewing process! BRB going to the Lake to pick me up some bad Canadian beer!

its 12:20 on wednesday so it must be time for Jassar's Musings of the Day

1) After being blocked into my house all week last week due to the snow, today I am blocked in by a completely new form of annoyance.



Construction.... Yes that is a 3 foot ditch being dug across the entire front of our property. Has to be the water main. How do I know this? because once my dad made me dig from the house to the water main in the street by hand to replace our service line 24 feet from the house to the road, 7 feet straight down, so I know where the pipe is. Also across driveways on either side of the house. FML

2) As you may or may not have surmised I've returned to drinking heavily during my unemployment so this was entertaining for me

I keep claiming how I don't miss the snow, when the truth is, I just miss THAT kind of snow. It's going to be either none at all for me, or the most freaking snow you've ever had. I really do miss the large amounts of snow I used to get back up in the mountains... oh well. Less freezy for me.

GREETINGS!!


Finally back online... well its been 2 days. 2 days w/o power or water. Western PA just took a 22+ inch load to the face from mother nature from friday to saturday. 4th largest in our history. My house was 38 degrees when I woke up this morning since it dropped to below freezing over the weekend and as I said we had to power.

The roads were a mess cuz the borough street crew picked a great weekend to go on strike so we had scabs working instead of the real street crew. Fuck them I hope they all Freeze to death for that selfish shit. As 180,000 people in the area had no power or water and they want a pay raise.

AAAAANYWAY I just got my power up in time to watch the big game today its still just now warming up to 60 in here. But before my phone crapped out from no power i managed to get a few shots of the whole mess. Enjoy.. as I have enjoyed, mother natures biggest money shot of the past 20 years.

My car parallel parked ACROSS the opening of the driveway since there wasnt a prayer of getting up it and if I left it out on the road someone would have def smashed it.


My old man assisting me in recovering said car.

There's a path in between those hedges to my front door... sooooomewhere


After clearing the other driveway shot. Notice where my old man is standing... that is the END of the driveway... the rest of that snow is all out into the road. The telephone pole in the shot is also on the curb.


Finally got my car up into the driveway. Had to dig the neighbors car out too (she had the same idea i did about parking at the bottom)


The man, The Myth, The Boomcock and his trusty shovel after the snow finally stopped.



TLDR: It snowed a lot and I nearly froze to death in my sub-40 degree house with no power/water for 2 days.
